Choosing the right heat output of a stove is important to ensure you achieve that warm cosy feeling on a cold day.
This calculator works out the minimum heat output required for your room however we will recommend stoves with a slightly higher kW output, than the minimum, in order to heat the room more quickly, particularly on a cold winters day!
Simply enter the room sizes and approximate insulation level in the boxes specified and then click the "Calculate" button.
Please note an accredited heating engineer should carry out your stove installation. Alternatively, should a non accredited engineer undertake the installation, your local building control officer will be required to approve the completed installation under the relevant building regulations.
