For safety reasons only sockets and tools specifically designed for impact drives should be used with impact wrenches and drivers. Generally, standard chrome finished sockets are manufactured from a more brittle grade of steel and may shatter when used with impact tools. All the accessories below have the extra strength built in to stand up to the extreme stresses imposed by impact tools.
