Reduce your CO2 emissions – burn wood!
This attractive stove is based on a design by Benjamin Franklin – hence its name. Over 200 years ago in the early days of American history, fuel economy was paramount, with today’s prices this is just as true again. Franklin designed this stove to make the most of the fuel available.
The main advantage of this stove is that it may be used with the front doors open or closed. Open the doors and you have warming glow of a roaring open fire, with the doors closed, you have the economy of a slow burning stove while still being able to see the fire through the transparent panels.
This cast iron stove can be placed on an open hearth, against a wall or in a large open fire-place to reduce draughts and improve fuel economy. The flue can be attached either to the top or rear of the fire, further increasing its versatility.
Use the Franklin to burn logs, scrap wood and off-cuts, coal or anthracite. However by burning suitably sourced wood, you can be sure that you are minimizing your impact on global warming.
