Walk into any Machine Mart store and the first thing you will notice is the incredible range of products we offer – a veritable Aladdin’s cave of tools and machinery for the DIY’er and professional alike. The second thing you will notice are our store teams – friendly, helpful, knowledgeable people who understand the value of great customer service. A Machine Mart store team is small typically comprising Store Manager, Assistant Manager, a couple of Sales people and a part time cleaner – the one thing they all have in common though is a passion for our products. Working in a small team brings its challenges but also gives great rewards, most noticeably that feeling of satisfaction when everybody pulls together to get a good job done. It’s a real hands on sales floor based operation with the vast majority of all team members time, from Store Manager downwards, being spent with customers, understanding their needs and most importantly selling them the best tool for their job. We do of course have to do all the day to day maintenance tasks as well, replenishing stock, merchandising, and general administration in fact all the things you would expect in any other retail store – one things for sure its never a dull moment in a Machine Mart store! Store Manager Responsible for the day to day management of a busy retail store, you will have the drive and enthusiasm to lead your team from the front with passion and commitment to delivering a great customer experience as well as achieving challenging sales targets. For us being a Store Manager isn’t just about selling. It’s about developing your team, offering honest advice and building a rapport with customers, exceeding their expectations and reassuring them when they’re bewildered by choice. You need to have proven experience of small team leadership within a retail or field sales position, ideally in a hard goods environment. You will have achieved sales targets and other KPI’s through motivation of your team. You will be a confident, enthusiastic team player with a commitment to learning and developing yourself and your team. Assistant Manager In an Assistant Manager we look for someone who can operate the store on a day to day basis being an integral part of the management team, making key decisions to ensure success of the store. Together with this you will be heavily involved in actively selling to our customers making sure the Machine Mart shopping experience is the best in the business. Salesperson At Machine Mart being a sales person isn’t just about selling. It’s about offering honest advice, building rapport with customers, exceeding their expectations and most importantly explaining technical equipment in an understandable manner.
