What does a typical day involve for you at Machine Mart?
Along with some paper work, each day is varied and some times humorous. Encounters with the general public can sometimes be educational. We’re constantly expanding our product knowledge due to our ever increasing ranges.

What was your working background before you joined Machine Mart?
I have been a self employed kitchen Sales Man, a Jeweller, Coach Builder, Tyre Fitter and also worked in Pub Management.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy all the various challenges which my role as Store Manager presents. From learning about new products and satisfy customers requirements, to visiting other Machine Mart stores and comparing different store layouts.

What one thing would you say to a person to convince them to join Machine Mart?
Working in a Machine Mart store is far from a normal ”stand in shop and sell” job. All team members get involved in every aspect of running a store. Each team member has an input into how the store is run from displays to spreading the name of Machine Mart. Machine Mart offers pleasant working environment. Every body is friendly and approachable from the cleaners all the way through to senior management. The company seems to go from strength to strength despite the current financial climate.

Dealing with customers and ledgers, shop floor tasks, achieving targets and merchandising.

Vehicle technician

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Working with the all the staff and helping customers with their problems.

What one thing would you say to a person to convince them to join Machine Mart?
There is a good atmosphere with great staff members.
